Let's start with FECONS", the VIII Feria Internacional de la Construccion, which took place at La Habana, Cuba, on last beginning of April. The pictures (1, 2 and 3) show respectively the stand, the delivery of an interesting prize refered to our Asphalt Binder Analyser by ignition method, BITUMAX Mod. 75-B0008 for the Equipment category and the relevant certificate. Next FECONS on 2012.
Our friends from Cuba were here on last week for an update training on new equipment. Thank again for the nice visit (picture 4).
From 7 to 10 of June in Moscow there has been the international conference "Geotechnical Challenges in Megacities". The conference, supported by International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE) and Russian Society for Soil Mechanics, Geotechnics and Foundation Engineering (RSSMGFE), has seen the participation of leading Russian geotechnical specialists. Our dealer Messrs. AVRORA was there with a stand (see pictures 5).
More or less in the same period, but on the other side of the universe in Mexico City there has been from 8 to 10 of June the World of Concrete Latin America. , the most important event for the concrete industry in the Latin America area. Our sister local company, Equipos de Ensaye Controls, was exhibiting there (pictures 6 and 7 show the stand and the famous PILOT 4).
4th EATA Conference . ("European Asphalt Technology Association").
CONTROLS was supporting the important event, in Parma (Italy) from14 to 16 June.
The conference has been organized by Prof. Antonio Montepara in charge of "Roads, Railways and Airports constructions" sector and by his research team of University of Parma.
The conference offered, through the various lectures, an excellent synthesis of all the most important scientific and technological innovations of Roads Industry.
The conference concerned one plenary session, six thematic sessions and one Poster session.
Prof. Reynaldo Roque of the University of Florida (U.S.Aa) has presented a lecture concerning the research advancements concerningroad pavement materials.
23 contributions were concerning the following thematics:
• Bitumen and modified properties
• Structure-performance for asphalt materials
• Asphalt material properties for wearing courses
• Design of asphalt mixes
• Fault and damages of asphalt material
• Modeling of pavement materials
The conference included a short course titled "Advances in Pavement Technologies".
